Saturday, Sept. 4th Katy Tiger Varsity Football vs. Alief Taylor Rhodes Stadium @ 6pm (PARENTS NIGHT) |
September 6 - Holiday September 7 - KBBC BC Meeting |
Parent’s Night…….This Saturday, kick-off is 6:00 p.m. so plan for the traffic! Please remember football and band parents will also be introduced so we want to be gracious to all, it will probably get a bit crowded on the sidelines……….AND Alief Taylor will also be performing as we line up so we need to be very respectful. Cheerleaders will be performing with their dad’s during the pregame experience! Mom’s will meet us at 6:30 on the sidelines and your daughter will escort you to her yard line. Senior mom’s will meet their daughters mid field during introductions (you will wait on the sidelines in front of your daughter until then). We will try to snap a picture but don’t worry if we don’t get it at pregame we’ll try again after halftime!!! Brigade dad’s will be performing at halftime with their daughters, please meet us at the north (field house) end of the stadium when the girls leave the stands! Dress for the performance is white or light colored dress shirt and tie (red is our first choice), jeans and appropriate shoes!!! Senior moms will need to move to the Brigade seating after the girls exit….ask your daughter who she stands by so you know who you should be next to in line. If you will sit in the stands in that order it will be easier to line up when we leave the stands. As you leave the stands you will meet up with your daughter and walk to her yard line. As the girls enter the field for halftime YOU need to remain on the sidelines and wait for your introduction. We will start with the scoreboard end, Angela and move to the field house end, Bekka. The names will be announced pretty fast as we are very limited on time. We will try to click a picture but if we don’t we will after we exit the sidelines!!! After the introductions you will exit the field with your daughter!!! I’m sure I am just repeating what you have already been told so I apologize in advanceJ As for clothing, it’s a September in Texas football game……..my only concern is that your shoes do not slip or sink on the turf…….. This is our time to honor YOU, our parents! Please do not bring flowers for you daughter as I will not allow them on the field………THIS IS ALL ABOUT YOU!!! PLEASE ENJOY AND THANKS FOR BEING SPECIAL!! |

Work in Progress |
Ms. Patty Hyatt has been at the helm as director of the Brigade and Cheerleader sponsor since 1983. The assistant director of the Brigade is Mrs. Alison Lowrey. The Junior Varsity Cheerleader sponsor is Ms. Robin Sammons. This year marks the 31st year of the Katy Bengal Brigade. The Katy Cheerleaders were established in 1947 with four cheerleaders. Their sponsor was Miss LeGard. The goal of the cheerleaders is to promote school spirit and positive school climate by participating at athletic events and extracurricular activities. The cheerleaders are expected to be positive role models, serving as high school ambassadors at school, in the district, and at community events. |
